Election Workers

Clearwater County will be hiring election workers in anticipation of the upcoming Municipal election. 

There will be election work opportunities for the Advance Vote on October 6, 2025 as well as Election Day on October 20, 2025. 

Applications open Friday, June 20. Successful candidates will be hired at the beginning of September. 

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to work the 2025 municipal election you must be;

At least 18 years of age as of October 20, 2025.

Eligible to work in Canada

Able to attend one of the following mandatory training sessions:

  • Monday, September 29
  • Wednesday, October 1 

Available to work on Monday, October 20.

You do not have to be a Canadian citizen to apply.

Basic Requirements For All Positions

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic analytical skills
  • Basic literacy skills (reading, writing and comprehension)
  • Basic interpersonal skills, including the ability to excercise impartiality  and to deal with people who may be impatient.
  • Ability to serve voters with disabilities
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to read maps
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to standards and safety measures
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work a long day (up to 13 hours) without leaving the work site

Election workers will be hired at the beginning of September.

Interviews for prospective candidates will be conducted at the end of August / beginning of September.
