Clearwater County’s Annual Roadside Cleanup for 2022 took place on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
This campaign is open to community groups to earn funding by cleaning a section of roadside. Participants contribute to a cleaner environment, experience a sense of accomplishment and raise funds for their group or club activities.
There were 42 sections of roadside available to be cleaned and groups received $600 per section cleaned.
Registration for route/section selections took place online on April 25, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. Applicants were asked to indicate first, second and third choices for road sections. Sections were assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once routes/sections are assigned, the County will contact the “group contact” to provide section allotment and coordinate material pickup and contract signing.
Clearwater County will pay each community group $600.00 per section cleaned. Safety vests, garbage bags and signs are provided by Clearwater County.
For more information or inquiries, please contact Clearwater County's Agriculture & Community Services Reception at 403-846-4040 or email reception@clearwatercounty.ca.
