A π…πˆπ‘π„ 𝐁𝐀𝐍 is in now in effect for all of Clearwater County. Under this ban, all outdoor wood fires are prohibited, and existing fire permits are suspended. Prohibited: β€’ All outdoor wood fires are banned, including wood campfires on public lands, wood campfires on private land and provincial campgrounds β€’ Backyard firepits β€’ BBQ charcoal briquettes β€’ The use of fireworks and exploding targets Allowed: β€’ Propane fire pits and natural gas-powered appliances β€’ Indoor wood fires β€’ Open flame oil devices The fire ban will remain in effect until conditions improve. With several days of warm temperatures and a lack of significant rain, the wildfire danger in Clearwater County has climbed to HIGH. With another stretch of warm temperatures in the forecast and very little anticipated rain, the wildfire danger is expected to continue climbing.

If you see smoke in the forest, report it immediately by calling 310-FIRE (3473).
