Private Campgrounds and Private Recreational Uses
The purpose of this paper is to explore policy options to facilitate the creation of small-scale campgrounds and private recreational uses on agricultural lands throughout the County.
In recent years Clearwater County has experienced some pressure to enforce illegal campground operations. In some cases, property owners supplement their income by leasing camping sites where RVs are parked year-round. In other cases, family and friends of property owners park RVs over the summer months or on weekends.
